At 8 Interiors Design, we offer a specialist installation service for wall-mounted furniture, including customised wardrobes, wall units, wall-mounted sideboards, shelving systems, and other fixed furniture requiring wall attachment. Our team has extensive experience installing high-end Italian furniture in UK homes.
Do You Need Installation?
Not all our products require installation. Freestanding items simply need to be placed in your room.

Our Installation Process

| 1. Before ordering | Contact us to confirm your wall type and product weight. We will advise and provide a quotation. |
| 2. At order | Installation is added to your order (separate charge). You receive an installation confirmation. |
| 3. Before delivery | We contact you to arrange an installation date — usually within 1–2 weeks of delivery. |
| 4. Installation day | Our team arrives within the agreed time window, installs your furniture, and cleans up. |
| 5. After installation | You inspect the work. Any issues are addressed immediately. |
Installation Charges
Charges vary depending on the type and number of products, wall type, location (London vs. outside London), and any access considerations.
Typical price range: £150 – £500 + VAT
We provide a fixed quotation before you confirm your order. No hidden fees.

Second Installation Visits
A second visit charge (minimum £75) will apply if our team arrives and the wall type differs from what was described, a required parking permit has not been arranged, or access is not possible (room not cleared, stairs blocked, etc.).
To avoid this: send us photos of your wall if unsure, clear the room before our arrival, and arrange parking permits in advance.
Using Your Own Installer
You are welcome to use your own contractor or install the furniture yourself. Please note:
- We accept no responsibility for wall or product damage caused by third-party or self-installation
- The 12-month manufacturer’s warranty still applies to the product, unless damage is caused by incorrect installation
- We do not provide technical support to third-party installers

How to Book Installation
- Place your product order through our website or by telephone
- Email info@8interiorsdesign.com with “Installation Request – [Order Reference Number]” in the subject line
- Include your wall type (if known), full postcode, and any access considerations
- We will send you a fixed quotation
- Accept the quotation and pay the installation fee (separate from product payment)
- We will schedule your installation date
Please note: Installation cannot be added after your product has been delivered unless we have availability — which we cannot guarantee.
Installation Guarantee
We guarantee our installation workmanship for 12 months from the date of installation. If any issue arises with the fixing or stability of the furniture (not due to accident, misuse, or wall failure), we will return and rectify it at no cost to you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to use your installation service?
No. You can use your own contractor or install yourself. However, we are not liable for any damage caused by third-party or self-installation.
Can you install freestanding furniture?
No. Our service is only for wall-mounted furniture requiring wall fixings.
What if my wall is unsuitable after delivery?
If we arrive and the wall is not safe for installation, we will not proceed. The installation fee is non-refundable in this case. To avoid this, please send us photos of your wall before ordering.
Do you remove old furniture?
No. Please remove any existing wall-mounted furniture and clear the area before our arrival.
Do you provide the fixings?
Yes. We bring all appropriate fixings for your specific wall type, as advised by you in advance.
